Returns & Exchanges - The Made In Hemp Way
We’re a small family business and we genuinely want you to love what you buy from us. While we don’t offer refunds for change of mind, we’ll always do our best to work with you to find the right fit, size or style – whether that’s an exchange or a store credit.

We know shopping online can feel like a bit of a gamble, so we’re happy to help before you hit “buy”.
If you’re unsure about sizing or fit, please reach out before placing your order. Our team can:
- Double-check garment measurements
- Compare them to pieces you already own
- Give you honest fit advice (including which styles run smaller or more generous)

Change of mind, size or colour
We understand that sometimes a size, style or colour just isn’t quite right.
While we don’t offer refunds for change of mind, wrong size or colour, we’re happy to offer:
- An exchange, or
- A store credit,
as long as you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for an exchange or store credit:
- Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition
- All original tags and packaging must be intact
- You’ll need proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
Shipping costs for change-of-mind returns
- You’re responsible for the cost of sending your item back to us.
- You’re also responsible for the cost of postage for your replacement item (we can help arrange this if needed).
Orders that originally qualified for free shipping
Orders over $150 qualify for free shipping at checkout. If you later return part or all of that order for a change-of-mind credit (not a fault):
- Your store credit will be issued less a $12 shipping fee to cover the original delivery cost.
- Store credit never expires and can be used both in-store and online – so you can take your time choosing something you’ll truly love.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If something’s not right, we absolutely want to know about it.
If your item is faulty, damaged, or you’ve received the wrong product, please email info@madeinhemp.com.au within 14 days of delivery with:
- Your order number, and
- A brief description + a couple of clear photos of the issue
Once we’ve reviewed your photos, we may ask you to return the product for a quick inspection.
If the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect, we will:
- Reimburse your return postage, and
- Refund the cost of the goods to your original payment method, or offer an exchange or store credit – whichever you prefer.
This is all in line with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If there’s a major fault, you’re entitled to a refund or replacement, and we’ll make it right.
How to return an item
- Email us first:
Send an email to info@madeinhemp.com.au with your order number, reason for return, and photos if the item is faulty or damaged. - Send your item back (for approved returns):

We’ll process your exchange, store credit, or (for confirmed faults) refund within 5 business days of receiving your parcel.
