Made In Hemp ships worldwide! No matter where you are, our hemp clothing, skincare and homewares can be delivered from Australia right to your door.

International parcels are shipped with Australia Post International. We offer simple flat-rate postage based on Australia Post's international shipping zones.

International Postage Rates

All prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD).

  • Zone 1 – New Zealand – $35
  • Zone 2 – Asia Pacific – $48
  • Zone 3 – USA & Canada – $55
  • Zone 4 – UK & Europe – $70
  • Zone 5 – Rest of World – $80

US customers: A 40% US import surcharge also applies to the product subtotal. More information can be found below.

Important: Our flat-rate international shipping covers the cost of sending your parcel from Australia. Depending on your destination, additional VAT, GST, import duties, customs clearance or postal/carrier processing fees may apply.

United States Orders

Due to changes to US import duties, tariffs and customs clearance requirements, all orders shipping to the United States now include a 40% US import surcharge (Yes, we are just as shocked as you!).

This surcharge is calculated on the product subtotal only and does not apply to the shipping charge.

US import charges can vary depending on the type and origin of the products being shipped. Rather than passing on unpredictable customs charges after an order has been placed, we apply a single surcharge at checkout to help cover these costs upfront.

Our checkout displays this within the combined order total rather than as a separately itemised customs charge. We aim to keep our international pricing as clear and upfront as possible so you know what to expect when ordering from Australia.

Customs, Duties & Import Charges

International customs rules are constantly changing and, depending on where you live, your country may apply additional taxes, import duties, customs clearance charges or postal/carrier processing fees when your parcel arrives.

Unless additional import costs are specifically included as part of your order, any taxes, duties or customs charges applied by your destination country are the responsibility of the recipient.

Unfortunately, there is no single percentage that applies worldwide. Charges may depend on your country, the value of your order, the products being purchased, their country of origin and the local customs or postal authority processing your parcel.

Some countries also calculate import tax on more than just the value of the products. Shipping costs, import duties and customs administration fees may also form part of the taxable amount.

A General Guide

New Zealand 15% GST where applicable, plus possible duty and clearance fees
Asia Pacific VAT/GST is commonly around 9–15%, with duties varying considerably by country and product
United States A 40% import surcharge is currently applied by Made In Hemp at checkout – see the US Orders section above
Canada Approximately 5–15% GST/HST/PST depending on province, plus possible duty and fees
United Kingdom Standard VAT is 20%, plus possible duty and clearance fees
European Union Standard VAT is generally around 17–27% depending on the destination country, plus possible duty and clearance fees
Rest of World Varies considerably by destination – please check your local import requirements before ordering

Please note: These percentages are a general guide only and are not a quote or guarantee of the final charges. Customs duties and fixed administration, clearance or postal handling fees may be charged separately and can make the total cost considerably higher, particularly on smaller orders.

Helping Take the Surprise Out of International Shipping

This is an ever-changing landscape, and we are continuing to adapt the way we send our international parcels.

For selected destinations, Australia Post's integration with Zonos allows us to prepay applicable duties and taxes when we prepare your shipment.

Where import costs are included or collected through our ordering process, we'll make this clear. For destinations where prepaid import charges aren't available, your local customs authority or postal carrier may collect them directly from you before delivery.

We're hopeful that more destinations will become available through the Australia Post and Zonos system as international shipping rules continue to evolve.

What to Expect

  • Our flat rates are based on an average international order, such as a few clothing or accessory items.
  • If your parcel is significantly heavier than our standard allowance, additional postage may apply.
  • If this occurs, we'll contact you before shipping and you'll have the choice to:
    • Proceed with the updated shipping cost, or
    • Cancel your order for a full refund.

We'll always let you know before making any changes to the postage you have already paid.

Delivery Times

Delivery times vary depending on your country and service level. Customs processing in your destination country can also occasionally add to delivery times.

Note on Skincare Products

Some countries have restrictions around importing cosmetics and skincare. While most of our parcels arrive without issue, regulations vary internationally.

If you're considering ordering skincare and are unsure about your country's import rules, please contact us before placing your order. We'll be happy to investigate and help with whatever information we have available.

Returns & Exchanges

International orders are covered under our standard return policy → see here.

Please note:

  • Exchanges are welcome, however return postage and re-shipping costs are at the customer's expense.
  • Import duties, taxes and customs charges paid directly to overseas authorities or postal carriers are separate from your Made In Hemp purchase and generally cannot be refunded by us.
  • To help avoid sizing issues, we strongly encourage you to reach out to our team before placing your order — we'll gladly provide measurements or guidance to help you get the right fit first time.

Sustainable Packaging

We're mindful about the way your order travels across the globe.

  • Parcels are sent in recyclable cartons, compostable mailers or satchels where possible.
  • To reduce waste, we also use recirculated packaging — this may include reused plastic satchels, pouches or bubble wrap.
  • Giving existing plastic another life helps us avoid introducing new "eco" packaging into circulation unnecessarily.
